The Buddy Walk will include a short walk around Trustmark Park.  Following the Walk, there will be food, entertainment, children’s activities, an opportunity for team photos, and information tables for the adults.

If you would like to participate in the 5K or Kids Fun Run, registration for both includes FREE admittance into the Buddy Walk.

Why:  The goal of the 2015 BuddyWalk + BW5K is to celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.  Nationally, the Buddy Walk raises more than $8.5 million, and on a local level we will raise money to support critical programs and services.  Locally, it is through the generous support of our sponsors, our walkers, and our community that we are able to provide support, programs, and education to individuals with Down syndrome and their families in the Central MS region. CMDSS serves hundreds of families who have a loved one with Down syndrome, and has expanded to reach the disability community as a whole.

How:  Funds are raised through corporate sponsorship, walkers’ pledges for our local walk, and registration fees collected from the BuddyWalk and BW5K.

When:  You can register for the BuddyWalk or BW5K online by clicking HERE.  Registration will also be available the day of the event, but t-shirts cannot be guaranteed. If you cannot register online, complete the form here for the 5K/Fun Run + Buddy Walk OR Buddy Walk only here. You can return it via email to Jenny@cmdss.org.
