Description: Children with a diagnosis of Down syndrome are born with oral motor hypotonicity. This low tone can affect the way their oral motor (or muscles in their mouth) move together for speech and feeding purposes. It is important to understand feeding, oral motor development, when to introduce certain foods, and you, as parents, can improve the muscles in your child’s mouth for successful feeding and… clearer speech later on in life. On-site childcare will be available for a limited number of participants.

Target Age/Participants: Parents of kids with Down syndrome (target age Birth-3)
